  1. Have you seen any film adaptations of books that you have read?
  2. How faithful to the original text were these films? Did you like or dislike them?
  3. What challenges do you think filmmakers face when adapting books for the screen?
  4. What elements should a book have that would make it ideal for film adaptation?
  5. Should we appreciate the films as creative works in their own right, or must we consider them in relation to the book?
  6. If you could make a film of any book of your choice, what would you choose and why?
