Roleplay 1

Situation:

You are in England on vacation. One day out shopping, you meet someone new. While hanging out with that person in town, someone attacks you and steals your stuff. You go to the police station to report the incident. 

Step 1 Brainstorm

Things that need to be done for the role play

You have to ....

  1. Form groups of 3/4/5

  2. Write down the names of the members of your group
  3. Submit your group names to your teacher.

  4. Time: 3 -5 minutes

  5. Decide who plays which role.

  6. Roles: police officer (2), victim (2), thief

  7. Each person must be able to play the the police and the victim roles.

  8. Make a police report form for the police man/ woman

  9. The police form will be used to fill in the victims information: name, surname, telephone number address, the location of the incident, description of the criminal.

  10. Look for an image of a criminal you will have to describe. 
  11. You have to be able to descrive 7 things about the thief: hair, skin, hight, clothing, eyes, 

  12. Write a script for your play.

  13. Record your role play.
  14. Submit your video and script for a grade.

Step 2 Role Play Scene 1

  2. Introduce yourself

  3. Spell your name 

  4. Give your age

  5. Talk about your hobbies

  6. Talk about your daily activities

  7. Talk about your family

Step 3 Role Play Scene 2

While you were all together, someone robbed you.

  2. and explain why you have come to the police station
  3. spell your name and surname
  4. describe what was stolen
  5. explain/ where it was stolen
  6. describe the location of the robbery.
  7. describe the robber to the police,
  8. End the conversation
